Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Submerged in Flash Floods, Long Jamming During Afternoon
KUALA LUMPUR, KOMPAS.COM – Flash floods submerged several areas in Klang Valley, Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (25/4/2022) afternoon.
Report from Free Malaysia Today mentions, Kuala Lumpur flood This causes a long traffic jam because it occurs during home hours office.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) confirmed on Facebook that at least 11 roads affected by the flood, namely: Jalan Kuching, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim, Jalan Semantan, Shortcut Segambut, Jalan Segambut, Jalan Kinabalu (Independence Circle), Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah, Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar, Travers Street, Dato Onn Circle, and Jalan Melaka.

LIVES DURING FLOOD IN MALAYSIA
In December last year, the Klang Valley experienced one of the floods worst flash in history.
Areas like Shah Alam, Klang, and Kuala Lumpur joined in affected, forcing thousands of people to flee, killing 25 people, and caused a loss of 3.1 billion ringgit (Rp 10.26 trillion) in Selangor.
The flooding that started after heavy rains on December 17 triggered the heated debate in Malaysia about how mitigation efforts need to be improved.
The Great Minister of Selangor Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari at that time said authorities were not prepared to deal with the heavy rainfall reaching 380mm, the highest recorded in Selangor.
