KRIYADH, KOMPAS.TV – Saudi Arabian Astronomer Khaled al-Zaqaq revealed that the month of Ramadan in 2030 will occur twice.
This was revealed by Khaled in his video recording which was posted on Twitter.
According to Khaled it is related to the fact that the Islamic Hijri calendar using the moon cycle
While the Gregorian calendar marks the earths journey around sun.

Quoted from Al-Arabiya , Khaled emphasized that it means the moon Ramadan will fall twice in a Gregorian year, every 30 year.
Previously, it happened in 1997, and before that in 1965.
After 2030, two months of Ramadan in one year will happen again in 2063.
In 2030, the month of Ramadan 1451 H will fall on January 5, 2030.
While the month of Ramadan 1452 H will fall around December 26, 2030.
