Homecoming Safe and Comfortable, Record 71 Rest Area on Trans-Java Toll Road
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM – Java Island is predicted to become a destination the most travelers on Eid in 2022.
In fact, from a total of 79.4 million travelers this year, 23.5 million of them is expected to return to Central Java.
Meanwhile, 16.8 million people are projected to return to East Java, and 14.7 million people going home to West Java.
This statement was conveyed by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi in a release, Friday (7/4/2022).
The regions of Central Java, East Java, and West Java are still the most destination locations for Lebaran this year, said Budi.
At the moment of this Eid holiday, private vehicle users, good cars and motorcycles will dominate.
He noted, there were as many as 40 million people who chose to go home using a private vehicle.
Not infrequently, travelers who use private vehicles end up use the toll road as an alternative to quickly get to the city objective.
Well, some toll roads provide Rest and Services (TIP) or better known as rest area to provide the needs of para travelers.
At least, there are 71 rest areas prepared by the Ministry Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) on the Trans-Java Toll Road.
