JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea submitted a letter resigned from the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi).
Chairman of Peradi, Otto Hasibuan, admitted that he had received a letter from Hotman Paris.
However, they have not yet made a decision.
There is a letter, but we are considering whether it is granted or not, said Otto, citing Tribunnews , Thursday (14/4/2022).

Otto Hasibuan and other members of Peradi are still holding Hotman Paris and do not want to rush to accept the resignation.
Because, if Hotmans resignation is granted, it will violate Law Number 18 of 2003 concerning Advocates.
If we accept it, it violates Article 30 of the Law Advocate, he explained.
In Article 30 Paragraph (2) of the Law on Advocates, it is stated that, Advocates who are appointed based on this Law must be member of the Bar Association.
Otto also explained in more detail the contents of Article 30 of the Advocate Law, even The advocate organization in this case is Peradi.
