Two Agencies Send Letter to FIFA President, Ask PSSI Punished

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – FIFA was asked to punish PSSI for the tragedy Kanjuruhan. At least two institutions have sent letters asking for things that was done, namely a letter sent by the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) and the Omega Research Foundation, an agency focused on controlling the use of military equipment, based in the UK.
The letter numbered 08/SK-KontraS/x/2022 was addressed to the President FIFA Gianni Infantino, as explained via the official website of Kontras, Monday (10/10/2022).
Ensure FIFA takes disciplinary action or applicable penalties against PSSI, stated in the letter.
In addition to asking PSSI to be sanctioned, Kontras and Omega convey four things: other demands.
First , FIFA is asked to recommend all its affiliated associations, to ratify Article 19(b) of the Safety and Security Regulations FIFA Stadium, into national regulations.
It is intended that the use of firearms and tear gas in All football matches are prohibited.
Second , FIFA was asked to encourage the Indonesian government to take appropriate action for the recovery of victims and their families.
While the third demand reads, Encouraging the Indonesian government to form a fully independent fact-finding team.
As for the fourth demand , namely, FIFA is asked to review the steps PSSI in addressing safety and security issues, at the same time ensure that these measures are adequate, in order to prevent a repeat of the tragedy same.

Previously reported by KOMPAS.TV , FIFA will not sanction to Indonesian football, despite the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.
This was reported by President Jokowi who had a telephone call with Gianni Infantino.
Alhamdulillah, Indonesian football is not sanctioned by FIFA, said President Jokowi, Friday (7/10/2022).
FIFA together with the government will form a transformation team Indonesian football, and FIFA will be based in Indonesia for these processes, he added.
