Singapore Pull Sedaap Noodles For Third Time, Find Pesticide in Chili Powder

SINGAPORE, KOMPAS.COM Singapore Food Agency or Singapore Food Agency (SFA) on Tuesday (11/10/2022) again announced the withdrawal two variants of Mie Sedaap.
This is the third recall of instant noodle products from Indonesia This is what the Singapore Government has done this month.
SFA first announced the withdrawal of Mie Sedaap from the market in Thursday (6/10/2022). At that time, the two variants of Mie Sedaap that were drawn were Korean Spicy Soup and Korean Spicy Chicken.

 

SFA then withdrew Mie Sedaap Rasa Soto and Mie Sedaap Ayam Curry on Saturday (8/10/2022).

Reported from Channel NewsAsia (CNA), the Singapore Food Agency on Tuesday extended the withdrawal of Mie Sedaap from Indonesia with put two more products after detecting pesticide in powder chilli.
Based on our testing regulations, the SFA has identified chili powder contaminated with ethylene oxide, SFA said in release for media.

 

SFA has asked Indostop Singapore to recall Mie Sedaap Special Curry Cup and Korean Spicy Chicken Cup Sedaap Noodles.
The SFA confirmed that the withdrawal process is ongoing.
The latest withdrawal applies to the Mie Sedaap Curry Special Cup with an expiration date of March 27, 2023, and Korean Spicy . Sedaap Noodles Chicken Cup with expiry date 24 April 2023.
