BREAKING NEWS: Mount Anak Krakatau Erupts, Volcanic Ash Gushes 800 Meters High – TribunNews.com

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Mount Anak Krakatau, which is located in The Sunda Strait region erupted.
Quoted from the official statement of the Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Gunung Anak Krakatau erupted at around 21.15 WIB with a column of ash height observed 800 m above the summit (957 m above sea level).

 

FLASH LAVA DROP
The ash column was observed to be gray to black with an intensity of thick to the southwest. This eruption was recorded on a seismograph with maximum amplitude of 55 mm and duration of 40 seconds.
The Geological Agency recommends people with a radius of 2 kilometers from Mount Anak Krakatau is prohibited from approaching and doing any activity. (WILLY WIDIANTO)
LAST Eruption
Previously reported by the Lampung Tribune, the eruption of Mount Krakatau did not occur triggered panic among residents of Sebesi Island, South Lampung.
They continue to carry out their activities as usual though Mount Anak Krakatau has erupted three times.
In the first eruption, the ash column was observed to be white with moderate to thick intensity towards the southeast.
The second eruption occurred at 11.10 WIB with the height of the ash column higher than before which is about 1,000 meters above the peak or 1,157 meters above sea level.
The third eruption occurred on Friday (25/3/2022), Mount Anak Krakatau re-eject hot material with a height of around 2,000 meters above the peak or 2,157 meters above sea level.
