Some recipients of Pfizers Covid-19 vaccine have complained of ringing in their ears.
GRIDHEALTH.ID – The World Health Organization (WHO) said that the team they are looking for possible side effects on the affected ear related to Pfizers Covid-vaccine.
In a recent report, some recipients of Pfizers Covid-19 vaccine complained of suffering from some rare hearing problems, especially tinnitus, or ringing in the ears.
According to the report, WHO has recorded that around 367 cases tinnitus and 164 hearing loss cases were registered from various country after receiving the Pfizer jab.
They further added that most of these cases were recorded in the first 24 hours after injection.
Calling this rare side effect, WHO said, The total hearing loss cases out of 11 million vaccine recipients, who making it a very rare side effect of the injection.
Talking about which age group complains the most cases of this rare ear disorder, WHO says that people who reported tinnitus ranged in age from 19 to 91 years, and almost three quarters are women.
These recipients are mainly from countries like UK, and US. And many of these patients have recovered from the infection as well.
Some of the symptoms they experience are ringing, buzzing, or hissing in one or both ears.
However, both the CDC and WHO have stated that they still investigate the case. So far, no known cause tinnitus, and there is also no evidence that vaccines cause hearing problems.
