US Human Rights Report: Indonesia Highlighted Over Privacy Violations by Police, Data Protection, and Papua Conflict

WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.COM – United States Department of State (USA) released Reports on Human Rights Practices in various countries, including Indonesia.
As reported by 2021 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices (15/4/2022), a number of things were highlighted in the report. Following some of them.

In its report, the US discusses arbitrary or unlawful interference laws regarding privacy, family, home, or correspondence that happened in Indonesia.

This app stores information about the vaccination status of an individual. NGOs express concern about what information is being collected and how data is stored and used by governments, the report said.
