Former Badung Police Chief Charged with Raping Adopted Child Since Victim Aged 5 at Police Retired Home
KOMPAS.COM – Former Badung Police Chief Kombes Purn Ignatius Soembodo suspected of raping his adopted son, RK at a retired polidi house in Jambangan area, Surabaya, East Java.
He was present at the closed inaugural trial held at the Court The State of Surabaya on Monday (10/10/2022).
RK is known to be the biological son of his close friend, BS.
BS said he left RK when he was 7 months old to Soembodo because BSs wife is depressed. He believed in entrusting his son, because he had been friends with Soembodo for a long time.
At that time BS promised to take his child again when RK was 3 year. As long as RK was treated by Soembodo, he also claimed routine sent money to Soembodo for his sons living expenses.
However, with the passage of time, BS was forbidden by Soembodo to meet his son.
He also asked for up to Rp 20 billion if I wanted to take my son, explained BS.
According to him, since he was entrusted to Soembodo, RK has lived at home retired police officer in Jambangan area.
BS was finally able to meet RK in 2018 when his daughter 14 years old.

During the meeting, SK told about the rape he had experienced. Until now he is 18 years old, SK is said to still feel traumatized.
