ASN May Work From Anywhere, BKN Reveals the Reason
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM – The government will prepare a new work pattern for state civil apparatus (ASN). No longer working from home Home/WFH), but works from anywhere ( Work From Anywhere /WFA).
Head of Bureau of Law, Public Relations, and Cooperation of the State Civil Service Agency Satya Pratama said ASN can work flexibly from anywhere only by utilizing information and communication technology.
The WFA work pattern is chosen with the aim that ASN is able to improve performance more optimally.

The aim is to improve the performance and satisfaction of ASN at work, while increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the bureaucracy government, said Satya to Kompas.com, Thursday (12/5/2022).
Satya said, this work pattern was studied based on the WFO-WFH practice which proved to be running well and successful during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, not all ASN can apply this work pattern. According to Satya, ASN whose work is in direct contact with the public and requires physical presence can not apply WFA.
For ASN who have administrative duties and functions can. However, it is the case for ASN whose duties and functions are in the work unit if in direct contact with the public and those in need WFOs permanent physical presence, he said.
Furthermore, Satya said, the discourse on the new ASN work pattern is still going on further studied. In addition to determining the type of work that can be implementing WFA, it needs to ensure several other things.
These things, including ensuring the rights of ASN are still fulfilled when WFA is implemented. He doesnt want salary ( take home pa y/THP) or other rights that should have been accepted were not accepted because of the WFA.
