Why Russia Withdraws Troops from Kyiv and Switch to Donbass, This Is Why
DONBASSS, KOMPAS.COM – The battle in Donbass has begun, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Russias efforts to attack the area in southeastern Ukraine.
After withdrawing its troops from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, present-day Russia focus on controlling the territory of Ukraine which is near the border.
According to Zelensky this was an attack that was expected by Ukraine and their military are already preparing to fight Russia.

In a post on social media, the Ukrainian military said the second phase the war has started and the battle is expected to be even fiercer compared to the previous conflict which started last February 24.
WHY DOES RUSSIA NOW WANT TO DOWN THE DONBASS?
Donbass is located in southeastern Ukraine and includes two regions namely Donetsk and Luhansk.
This is a major industrial area where the population is dominantly speaking Russia, and Moscow have supported separatist groups there for the last eight years to secede from Ukraine.
They have also declared the establishment of two republics that have so far been only get recognition from Russia only.
