TRIBUNMANADO.CO.ID – The Investigation Team at the Directorate of Prosecutors Investigation Agung Muda for Special Crimes has appointed four people suspects related to the case of alleged corruption in the provision of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Export Facility and Its Derivatives in January 2021 until March 2022.
Indonesian Attorney General Burhanuddin said that some time ago there was a directive from the President regarding the scarcity of cooking oil.

The Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, ST Burhanuddin, said that his party determined that: four suspects related to allegations of corruption in the provision of facilities exports of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and its Derivatives in January 2021 until March 2022.

Burhanuddin explained a brief chronology of this case, initially since the end of 2021 there will be a shortage and an increase in cooking oil prices in the market, the government through the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia has take a policy to establish a DMO (Domestic Market Obligation) and DPO (Domestic Price Obligation) for companies that want to carry out the export of CPO and its derivative products.
In addition, the determination of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for cooking oil palm oil, but in practice the exporting company does not meet DPO but still get export approval from the government.
After carrying out an investigation based on the Warrant Inquiry Number: Print: 13/F.2/Fd.1/03/2022 dated March 14, 2022, then on April 4, 2022 based on an Investigation Warrant Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Number: Prin-17/F.2/Fd.2/04/2022 dated 04 April 2022, Case of Alleged Action Corruption in the Provision of Crude Palm Oil Export Facilities (CPO) and its derivatives in January 2021 to March 2022 has been upgraded to the Investigation stage.
Based on the results of the investigation, investigators have collect evidence consisting of the testimony of 19 witnesses, documentary evidence and electronic evidence, expert statements, and evidence in the form of 596 documents.
