ROME, KOMPAS.TV – Ukrainians are angry over the Popes Good Friday procession at the Vatican, Rome, Friday (15/4/2022).
In the procession a Ukrainian and Russian woman walked together carrying the Cross.
When the two women who both work in a hospital in Rome was walking, the invited congregation paused for a moment in silence prayer and pray from the heart for world peace.
But it drew anger and criticism from Ukrainian citizens, who since last February 24 have suffered from the attacks carried out Russia.

UKRAINE GIVE UP OR DIE
In addition, the procession is described as an idea of reconciliation for Ukraine and Russia.
Quoted from Politico , formerly the Greek Catholic Bishop of Kiev, Sviatoslav Shevchuk insists the idea is inappropriate and ambiguous, and does not take into account the context of Russias military aggression against Ukraine.
The moves were incoherent and even offensive, especially when we waiting for a bloodier second attack from the Russian troops in our cities and villages, he said, Tuesday (12/4/2022).
Shevchuk said that a number of Ukrainian Catholics had asked him to express his anger and rejection of the plan to the Holy See.
According to him, reconciliation will only be possible during war ends and those who are guilty of crimes against humanity have on trial.
