Elon Musk Wants to Buy All Twitter Shares Rp 618 Trillion, Why?
KOMPAS.COM – Tesla CEO Elon Musk has bought up Twitter shares. Not yet satisfied, now the richest man in the world intends to buy the whole share that microblogging platform.
Elon Musk made the offer through the Securities Commission and US Stock Exchange (SEC).
Musk offered a price per share of 54.20 US dollars (approximately IDR 750,000). According to CNBC, Musks total bid for 100 percent Twitter shares are worth about 43 billion US dollars (Rp 618 trillion).
Twitters valuation itself is worth lower than Musks offer, namely around 37 billion US dollars (Rp 517 trillion).
His interest in buying all of Twitters shares was also expressed through his personal Twitter account with handle @elonmusk. In his tweet, Musk didnt make it clear what he wanted, instead, he went straight embed a link pointing to the SEC.

In the offer submitted on April 14, Musk said that Twitter needs to be turned into a private company.

TWITTER INVESTORS RESPONSE
This offer has been confirmed by Twitter. Nevertheless, the company has not yet decided whether to accept or reject it.
