Jokowi Claims to Build 1,900 Kilometers of Toll Roads in 7 Years, How Is the SBY Era?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM – For the last seven years or since 2014, the Government has built 1,900 kilometers of toll roads in Indonesia.
According to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the length of toll roads being built since 2014 has increased significantly when compared to 40 the last year before 2014 which was only 780 kilometers.
Since 2014 or within the last seven years, toll roads which was completed was 1,900 kilometers. Previously for 40 years it is only 780 kilometers, said Jokowi.
Reflecting on Indonesias experience in building toll roads, actually there are problems that always arise, namely limited resources financing.

 

THIS IS THE FACT
As a result, many toll road constructions in the past does not involve alternative sources of financing.
State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) or funds from the Agency It was the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which later became the mainstay financing.
Well, if during Jokowis leadership he managed to build 1,900 kilometers of toll roads, how about the previous era that was President 6th RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY)?
Quoted from the news, Kompas.com (21/12/2018), at least there is 17 toll roads completed during the 10 years of SBYs administration.
Of the 10 toll roads, four of them are part of the from the Trans-Java Toll Road network.

 

THIS IS THE KEY
The four are the 35-kilometer Kanci-Pejagan Toll Road which was inaugurated in 2010.
