WASHINGTON, KOMPAS.TV – Director of the United States Intelligence Service CIA William Burns on Thursday (14/4/2022) in the United States (USA) asked so as not to underestimate the Russian threat to use weapons tactical nuclear warheads for the battlefield in Ukraine.
However, as reported by Straits Times , Friday (15/4/2022), Burns says the CIA hasnt seen much practical evidence yet reinforces fears that Russia will use tipped weapons tactical nuclear explosion.
Burns public comment this time, the most extensive since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, underscoring concerns that the biggest attack on a European country since 1945 was risk increasing the possibility of using nuclear weapons by Russia.
As is well known, tactical nuclear weapons are weapons that can used in a relatively close shooting range, no such as strategic nuclear weapons with long-range firepower and often even intercontinental.
In the Cold War, tactical nuclear weapons were bombs that could launched by the two superpowers, the US and the Soviet Union, within a distance of far away, to their respective countries.
